Everything you ever wanted to say about "Zebra luvin", but didn't because you thought everyone would take the mickey! Plus general topics for discussion including everything from what you feed them to your personal experiences.
I was wondering how big a L46 can be. I hear often that they can reach 10 - 12 cm, but I never have seen such "giants". So maybe its a good idea to show our biggest L46.
I start with a 8,2 cm long male:
Who have a bigger L46 on picture? (Must be not so difficult I think)
I was going to post up when I first saw the thread but didnt,
5 out of the 6 are 4"(10cm) nose to tip of tail
I have heard roumers of a zeb getting on for 10" - yep I said 10".
I've not seen it - but the person that told me has (and I trust her) she breeds zebs herself and saw the zeb at another breeders.
So suddenly 4" dosnt seem that big
I'm sure many others on here will have bigger.

There are accounts of 15 year olds that are still breeding... That's not to detract from alistair's achievement... I hope that some of us will still own our original first batch in 11 years time!
Don't know whether or not he is still able to breed as he has been on his own for about 4 years? Hope so though, added 3 juveniles (6 months old) to the tank 3 months ago. Hopefully will find out in about 18 months time. Just have to wait and see (eh Dave )
The 'trick' is 25% water changes every week (just treated tap water), feed three times a day (tetra prima, dora min, blood worm and brine shrimp), temp at 30 deg C, lots of plants and caves tank is 120 litres and has juwel internal filter and eheim 2231 external and that is it!
Just re-sized the image as well, links to the photo on imageshack.
