dont mean to sound like a killjoy, but does anyone else think he has too many caves... alpha male cant ' flex his muscles ' is there is 20 other caves exactly the same side by side

Looks good, personally I would throw in a long thin bit of wood up front a few inches in front of the cave openings, give them something between them and you that you can still see in their caves around but they may feel a little more secure.
I have like 4 cups of silica sand in the bottom of my 30g, they seem to enjoy making little depressions in it and it is pretty thin in most places so its very easy to clean. They seem happier with that little bit of sand then they were with bare bottomed.

Fern the front of the caves have been cover for a while. I have made changes to the tank. Thanks for the input.
