If it's about fish in general, or it's a little bit random, then this is the place to post it.

I have a web cam set up
here , have a look if you want
I'm not sure how good my line handles this web cam, so I'd like to get feedback on frame rate if you have a look. At present I've set up a connection limit to 10 to hopefully give viewers a half decent experience. If it turns out the frame rate is good enough with this load I'll increase the connection limit.
You will be asked to install a plugin on first visit, but I assure you it's safe, it will not mess up your browser or system.
Let me know what you think!

what's the frame rate like? is it an updated picture every 5 seconds, or is it moving?
The cave to the left is where the luvin hapens, yes
Glad you like it

The framerate is an updated picture every five seconds or so. Not really moving as yet, but still very impressive.

Thanks Rob, I hope to be able to provide better framerate when the line is optimized!
I'll see if I can find software that will be able to provide an embedded version. I'll get back to you on that

That's well
McEve.
Your web cam will be able to "stream" better when you move over to DSL, 2Mb download if I remember correctly. However it's your upload speed not download that will be the governing factor. 256Kb upload is pretty much standard for the UK, things might be different in Norway.
You'll never look back when you get DSL infact you're going to wish you done it sooner. I couldn't live without mine now.

I'm getting a SDSL line, that's 2Mbp/s up and down
It should be optimized during the day today sometime - at present there's only 1300 Kbp/s.
Of course it will also depend on the download speed the viewer has...

Thats quality. It's almost like a constant stream now! Very impressed.
