Hi
The benefit of moving the heaters for me was so I could easily reach them to alter the temp for the rainy season the tank is quite big I have to use a step to reach in. At the moment it is at 25oc for rainy season usually it is set at 29oc going to be racking it back up again soon.

That is a nice big zeb tank
(its the rio 240 isnt it?)
over time we might have to move some of ours into the living room tank... just to keep a better eye on them you understand...
(ok ok it'd be so I could show them off)

Hi
The tank is a juwel rio 400 I have a good working zeb only colony in there they are in our dinning room as it is nearest to the water supply.
I am not sure what time of year the wet season is in their natural habitat I only know it is all year here
I just use it as spawning trigger they seem to fall for it. As for a bare bottom tank I think it is a case of what you prefer what I have has worked for me over the past 6 years. I started with one zeb now have over 32 all in the same tank I have bought 12 in over 6 years. Sold some fry and kept.I will keep some from this next spawn and try and hook up with another small breeder and do some swaps with the rest thats if all goes well
its never a sure thing.
