Hello everybody,
I visit this site and forum for some time now and registered now.
I have been keeping zebra's for two years now and still waiting for them to breed.

Hopefully i can pick up some tips and tricks over here, or otherwise support in my struggle

Thanks for the welcome guys,

To be honest i don't know what to ask at the moment.
I tried to get them breeding in every way i found on the forums worldwide but no luck yet.
Things i've tried:

Bare bottom/sand bottom
High water level/low water level
Temperature plus(30c)/Temp min(27c)
Daily water changes
Conductivity lowering by ro water
Extra powerhead

My caves are from Kai Schlutow (www.zuchthoehlen.de)
I have 25 zebs in 2 tanks:
1 tank 12 adult over 7cm. both sexes are present
1 tank 13 "youngsters" 5-6 cm.

Any suggestions or questions are welcome

Well Troy situation before discovering the wigglers was:

Bare botom
40 centimeter water level
Powerhead installed
Temperature 29 degrees celcius
PH 7,6
Microsiemens 475
Weekly cold water change of 40% lowering the temp by 4 degrees celcius
I did not use RO water for about 7 weeks

So to be honest i am puzzled what triggered them, or it must be the fact that i was in a sort of "let go mood" and didn't shine my torch into the aquarium for weeks.

In germany the admin of www.L46.de uses the slogan: in die ruhe liegt die kraft, which means the force is in the rest (maybe McEve is a better translator)

Many are the spawns that has taken place when the owner has given up on them

Thrown the whole lot in one big tank together, went on a holiday, got a girlfriend.... Maybe the clue here is to give them som time to feel secure. Every water change is a stress factor, Every redecoration is a stress factor.

On the other hand maybe the trigger is the calm they're getting after a hectic period of water changes and redecorations.

A bit like nature really isn't it, after the rainy season ends

(hmmmmm "The power (secret) lies in the calm"? "BE the calm"

) Any other Star Wars fans here?
