I know these fish take a long time to grow, ive got my third spawn from mine now this one being the most sucsessfull.
There are twelve in all and no fatalities yet.
Ive only had the adults about a year.

don't you think if the shop selling the zebras as just zebras and not F1's then the price tag would be lower?

You have even said your self that an F2 is going to be easier to breed so why should any one pay more for an F1?

You can not say that keeping discus with l046 is going to cause this disease.
None of the discus died of it right?
I have heard of lots of people who have had display tanks with discus and l046 and many have said they are perfect tank mates.

I think that it is all down to the sellers / breeders:
1. knowledge of there fishes origin
2. Breeders honesty
There should be no more imported wild caught L046 avaliable that are not already here.
The chances of owners selling there wild caught zebs are slim.
If you own these fish and breed them ...

Im sure there are people out there that have F1's but to state you have an F1 without proof and sell at such high prices is wrong.
