hi all

Post by bikermonkey »

hi all, new to the site, only just recently come across zebra plecs, and got to say im very taken by them, have been thinking for a while what to set up a tank for next( already have tropical and cichlid tank) and i think i might have found the answer. think of a long sloped tank with large pumps to recirculate to water to get the constant water flow, trying to recreate a flowing river. still in early thought process, any thoughts on this? any uk breeeder of zebra plecs? you help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the site.

As for tank design, there is no reason a river flow type tank would not be a perfectly good way to go. I am not sure you really need to slope it. The most important issues in a zebra tank are adequate cover and well oxygenated water. I have three tanks with zebras and each one is set up differently.
What makes the common person uncommon is common sense.
