MY NEW FISH!! HEHE

We all know how difficult it is to identify the sex of these fish, so please post a picture in here and we'll try to help you (or at least give an educated guess!).

Hi Shell231,

Yes, Shell, you have a fully grown male for sure , full of testosterone, eagerly waiting for that female you are outbidding Zeberdy for !!!!!!

Des.

what I noticed is that when its head shape is like a shovel then its a male.
Females tend to have EGG shaped head (oval)

No probs Shell. As for the sex of your zebra it's all in the whiskers(odontodes) and he has a pretty good growth.

Here's a couple of links on sexual differences in zebras.

My guess would be male too, purely down to the odontodes. Cool looking fella! I am so pleased for you :D :D

Not if the other male turns out to be a ladyboy too. Did I not mention all the ladyboy zebras that were coming from Brazil at the tail end of last year?
