Not shy when hungry!

Post by alevans »

I''m not a regular poster but I dip into this forum regularly!

I have just noticed something that made me chuckle:

I have a zebra in my community tank and have usually made a specific effort to ensure that him/her gets a regular feeding. Clearly he/she was hungry today because when I dropped an algae wafer in for my Ottos he/she dived off the rock he/she calls home and steamed into the Ottos who had been joined my some Honey Gouramis and started muching with them! When the action got a bit frantic he/she lashed out with his/her tail!!! All this took place with the lights on and in the middle of the day!!!

I guess they are only shy when they want to be!!

BTW As you may have gathered I'm no expert at sexing Zebras :D
