wigler outside

Post by Tom Kvitnes »

Today when i was feeding, my eye caught something moving in the sand, i looked again but could not see anything. But i kept looking at the same spot and there it was again, my heart nearly stopped it was a tiny fry. Probably hatched today, after a quick rescue operation with a hose the fry was in the fry trap with his older sibblings.

What could have happend ?

Its so tiny that it cant move in any direction, so it can not have swimmed
out of the cave.
The male is a very addicted and caring father and have garded his fry very good up until now.
Is it possible that the fry is sick or damaged and thats why he have thrown it out ?

Regards

Tom

As far as i can see, its the same dad for all three spawns.

one spawn with 4 offspring, one with ruined eggs, and now this last one with probably 4-5 offsprings.

Awww.. I'm sorry to hear that Tom :( But as you say, it probably was a reason for him being kicked out them, not just inexperience from dads side.

Hopefully the others will be fine :) crossing my fingers for you!
