First Successful Spawn
Wey Hey, found the first roaming zebra fry from the males cave tonight !
Don't think the male has many fry in his cave, will be lucky if i there is five of them, but at least this male is getting it right
And this male was the sub dominant male in the big tank before i split up my zebras into three smaller tanks !
There is three zebras in a 2ft * 1.5ft * 15 inches high tank, the male, a female and possibly another female (i assume this because she is not as big as the two definite males, and is over three years old).
I have noticed that the two females are squabbling a bit, and have only noticed this in the past week.
Will a female that has laid eggs make it more territorial than usual ?

Thanks for the replies.
Just found another four fry in the tank and put them in the hatcher, not sure if the male has anymore but he is still deep in his cave
Will take some pictures of the fry later on tonight.
The reason i ask about the second female, is the now dominant female sometimes has the sub dominant female trying to hide under the spray bar of the cannister filter at the top of the tank and seems to be making the whole tank hers.
It is starting to look like i will have to move the sub dominant female to another tank and just leave the pair in the tank.

Some pictures of the new fry;
Hello John
There is some flow through the hatcher, the hatcher vent on the left hand side of the hatcher, is right in front of the last hole on the Eheim spray bar, which is giving the hatcher some current.
The worst bit is i have been feeding them ZM 100 fry food (smaller than baby brine shrimp) and some micro worms, but feel the smaller food is not settling in the container much and geting pushed out of the vent on the right hand side of the hatcher too easily.
So i put some uncrushed Tetramin (the red granules) in with them tonight as it won't get pushed out the vent, and mushes up soon after being added to water, so the fry should be able to feed on it !
Well get a better picture tomorrow night.
