Yound L046s with L260s

Post by Tom2600 »

Hi,

I am planning on getting some young L046s in the very near future. They will have to go in my 28UK gal tank set up from my young L260s. Temp 84F, high current and oxygen levels, caves, bogwood and thin sand/gravel substrate. Will the young L46s be ok in here. Obviously their price commands that I get things right.

My only real worries are:

1) Current might be too strong as they are only small?
2) There will be too much competition for food with the L260s?

Cheers

They should be fine. I've been mixing them in tanks for years with no casualties. You'll just need to make sure there are enough hiding places for them all, and plenty of food. The zebras won't grow as fast or condition as readily as they would in a species tank, but they definitely do alright.
