1 zebra to sex

We all know how difficult it is to identify the sex of these fish, so please post a picture in here and we'll try to help you (or at least give an educated guess!).

Looks to be a female to me. Where in OH are you located? I am in Columbus and have a few F-1 sub-adults I am raising. Always nice to know another zebra keeper.

I'd say that's definitely a female. Also that it's one that's plenty old to be spawning with some conditioning. Congrats!

1st photo looks definately female but the second shot looks a bit ambiguous :?. I had took confirm that the markings were the same to be sure it was the same fish. I will go along with the majority and say female

I would get her well fed for at least four weeks before trying to get her breeding.

Good luck

Female.

The shape is not generic, more leaning towards female. The leading pectoral fin rays are thin, also a female indicator. Last thing would be the shape of the nose. That makes 3 out of 3.

The longer you condition before attempting breeding the more eggs you "LIKELY" to get. Seasoned experts please feel free to step in and correct if I am wrong.

Good luck.
