Imers 100% Female zebra @ 2.5 years old?

We all know how difficult it is to identify the sex of these fish, so please post a picture in here and we'll try to help you (or at least give an educated guess!).

lrry93 wrote:Wow! Those sure are still fry. I cant believe he sent those as 2 year old fish! Hopefully you guys can resolve things. At leastit was C.O.D. on these. I know you agreed to pay top dollar on these. What are you going to do if he ask for them back? He has been asking for $225 I think for his fry wich is outrageous.
Agreed these are still fry.

Here is some more photos of Imers little zebs.
i used a Quarter in the tank as good all round reference.
A canadian quarter is same size as US quarter if ya didn't know.

I have emailed him and trust we will work this error out.

When I asked Imer how many zebra he had. His son tranlsated to me 300 pair of zebra. I kinda went HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM in my mind. Big RED FLAG !.. but at that point with COD on my side..I figured I had nothing to lose but my time and nerves. This is one of the reasons I documented Imers sale of the 3 female zebras in such detail.
I truely wanted to expose the Good or the Bad..to all here at ZP and abroad who want to order any highly sought after fish such as of age female zebra pleco.

I still have not heard from Imer.
1 zebra even looks like it could be developing bull nose.
See if you can pick it out. Tell me what ya think?

Thanks again all for the ongoing support.

Below photos are Imers SUPPOSED 5.4 cm 100% female zebra sent to me from Germany.

Yes it is snub nosed. I seen it on your video and was going to say something but figured you had already noticed. When Imer was sending me pics of fish he was going to sell me he sent a pic of the worst case of snub nose I had ever seen. Seems he has a problem with this. To bad

Looking at those new pics, to me it seems like that they are around 2 or 2.5 years old. It looks like at least two of them are females. But I could be wrong. Those zebras in those new pics look kind of different to those in the earlier old pics. I jsut felt that way.

I noticed it right away when looking at fish through the shipping bag. I tried taking photos of it but bag obscured it too much. Of the first Photos I took .. I could not get a decent photo of it so I just kept my mouth shut about the snubnose till I got better ones today.

Just yet another Stick in the Fire for Imer.

Hi CDNA

Looking at the pictures and the clarification of what you requested, it appears to to me that he has totally misrepresented what he is sending.

As you have also stated you really don't need to grow any Zebras on, so of little value to you.

I also from the tone of your posts guess you want to resolve this matter as you hate owing money.

In the UK a contract can either be verbal or written as long as there is consideration involved (ie payment). These fish though do have a value, so my suggestion to you would be to advertise them for sale, two of unknown sex and one snubnose and offer to send the proceeds to Imer.

In the event of things getting messy with legal proceedings this is likely to give you the moral high ground and gain you sympathy from the adjudicator.

If you have reached an amicable agreement even better.

Good luck in your efforts.

I hate to treat this fish as just a commodity, but the vendor in this instance appears to be doing so and practices such as this have to be stopped.

Take care all

Dave

UPDATE

Imer has got back to me and he isv ery sad that I got the wrong fish.
His wife apparently bagged the fish and had them sent out.
An honest mistake perhaps.

I explained to him that is has cost me significant amount of my time and loss of money to pick up fish that I have not ordered.
I can't get back my time, custom fees and shipping fees and a days loss in wages to pick up a wrong order. My $ loss is over 300.00.. including wages, not to mention my time is money. I have better things to do then fight rush hour traffic for hours at a time.

I have asked for a reshipment of the said order of 3 female 100% @ 2.5 years of age. I will glady pay for what I ordered!

Peace

Hi

Post by dave »

I hope it all works out for you.

But sexing fish, there are so many posts on this site and many seem to be open to debate.

If Imer has found a definitive way of doing it, perhaps he could share it, this would certainly help his reputation.

Update

Post by CDNAqua »

Imer update,

Agreed dave if that is the case, and thanks for the support.

Im still not ruleing out human error, as he has already stated. (His wife caught and sent fish to me) .

I have emailed Imer asking him to post here on ZP or email me photos of the 3 100% Female Zebras @ 2.5 old he was to send to me. I have asked him to resend the proper order. I will happly pay for what I have ordered and desperatly need.

But..

I still have not heard from him despite sending him numerous emails.
I have tried to PM him as well ..to his bluectriscal name here on ZP

I wonder if he is ignoring me and why?

Im at a loss here?? What else can i do???

Peace

If you haven't sent the money yet, don't. If he doesn't get paid he'll eventually stop ripping people off

Hi

I agree with Joyjoy.

In addition, with Zebras at the moment and the way they sell, it is unlikely that somebody would sell 3 mature female Zebras.

We do know that this guy can breed them and he would stand to make a lot more cash if he bred from them.

I wouldn't waste too much time chasing. If he thinks you owe him money he'll contact you.

While there may be a reason for him not responding (Well obviously there is), it seems that purchasing Zebras off this guy leads to so much being written, and everybody surely can't be making it up.

Good luck and take care

of course if imer's going to continuously rip people off and not send what's ordered he'll learn his lesson when he sends someone 100 fry that aren't what he claimed and doesn't get paid for it

im sick of this guy. i sent him £300 for a fully grown female and iv got nothing back from him but lies! he ignored me for 3 months then contected me out the blue and asked me to withdraw my complaint with paypal for him and he would send me my fish or a refund. i asked for a refund and he then got back to me saying he would send me 2 females for the same price! i agreed and now he has been ingoring me for another 4 weeks. if you want my opinion he plays the "i cant understand english" card too often. he's a cheat and theif and he needs locking up! im going to be contacting my lawyer and see if he can get me my £300 back....
