Has anyone ever used "Spawn Aid"? Does it work? Waste of money? I have never heard of anyone mentioning it before. What do you guys think?
I have heard of something similar, what company manufactures it?
Personally I can't see how this stuff would be able to stimulate fish, regardless of species, to spawn. Personally I think you would be better off providing your fish with the right conditions for them to spawn naturally. That said it would be interesting to see what the others have to say.
I have heard of induced spawning in fish through the use of hormone injections. This is only really practised by fish farmers and then again it is usually for the mass production of food fish. However it was rumoured that the Israelis managed to hormone produce red tailed catfish a number of years ago.
