***Rob I only got a pair of these beauties. The first batch where about to 120 eggs but they where very sensitive and got attacked by fungus.I cannot tell the number of the eggs now.
I jave 24 youngsters now from the first spawn and they are growing very well! :D

Kevin Korotev is the only person I know that has them at the moment. I lost my breeders last summer and it's probably going to be another year before the F1 male I have grows out. The eggs were REALLY sensitive to TDS and pH so they don't seem to be something commonly worked with. Congrats on your fry Jim!

Congrats on the spawn husky_jim. A friensdof mine is working with the fish and has raised a LOT of fry. He says the young require soft VERY clean water to do well.

For my own info, what are you feeding the youngsters?

khblock, In a trade for a young zebra pleco I picked up among other things 20+ A. dolichpoterus from him. I've got a few surplusif you're looking for some. I also see them from time to time on Aquabid.

Congrats Jim on another job well done. :D

The fry are looking great. Please tell me you didn't get them to spawn in your piranha tank like the BNs.

Good luck with the fry.
