Adults together with unfamiliar fry?

Post by McEve »

Would adults leave the fry alone if I put them in the same tank as the fry are in? This would be adults that have no family ties to the fry.

I've got fry from an unrelated group in with two random wild zebras, no problem at all. Just have to make sure they get enough food, which they do. They are little pigs!

Hi McEve

I have fry that are in tanks with unrelated adults, but they have been in there since they were spawned. As yet I haven't introdued a new adult to a tank containing fry.

SO long as there are plenty of small places for the fry to eat then they should be ok

have fun

Thanks both!

I want to establish a second group, so I'll give it a try, but will keep a close eye on them
