But something to keep in mind RO units waste about 3-5 gallons of water for every 1 gallon of pure water it makes.
Although this ratio alters, for better or worse depending on temperature of the water doesn't it?

Not me.. My tapwater has 0 hardness KH and GH, so I have to harden it. Zero hardness is no good for the fry!

I had it reconfirmed this time around as I did a blunder and didn't check well enough in the terrace tank. Lost one to bloating..

Thanks guys,

I am looking at RO seriously... I will probaly go the ebay route on this one... Can only say that it would be wise for all of us if under the breeding section we have a sticky about RO systems.

PS. I appreciate there are other ways of forcing a spawn (ph... ect...).... but this seems to be the least stressful way for the fish. Again thanks for the tips.
