We all know how difficult it is to identify the sex of these fish, so please post a picture in here and we'll try to help you (or at least give an educated guess!).
Hi, everybody this is my only zebra can you help tell me what sex it is?
To me the bodyshape looks like a female but the headshape looks like a male.
It usually hangs out on driftwood although I have 4 caves in the tank.
Because, I have only have one zebra I can't compare the behavior
anyway I think it's a female what do you guys think?
I don't want to go agianst popular opinion, but i think it could be a young male looking at the amount of teeth on the first ray of the pec fin and the cheek 'wiskers' look as though the a more developed than in a female. Please let me know if i am wrong as it will be useful to me also
Its a hard call but I say it is probably a female. I dont think the wiskers are defined enough to be a male.
You cant base it on the Zeb not using the cave alone. I have a male that refuses to go in one. I dont have any clue why???
