Just a thought, but could TANK raised zebras mature faster than wild ones? They may have a more steady diet and not have to protect themselves agains perditors so can spend more time sleeping, eating and growing?

I don't have zebras, but it would apply to fry in a community tank vrs ones taken and put in a fry only tank. One example: Guppy babies in their own tank grow far fastter than siblings left in the main tank with other fish and their parents.

I believe this might be the case. There's been some reports on this site already where people were surprised to get fry from their F1's at "
such a small size

Interesting, So in theory...

You could start a breeding colony from maybe an 18 month old female... and two 3-4year old males?

Hmmm..... The revolution is nigh! LOL... :lol:
