That button needs to be on the forum as well? This is where most of us are most of the time I think? All this functionality you have for making us famous, and then you hide it away!

Out of 250 sites We're voted up to nr 52 at present! And that's not bad at all! Let's aim for getting on the first page - nr 25 or better

Having Aquarank on other forums aswell i must say that the voting is for weekly period and it counts only once, each person's vote, except if another computer is used or you clear the browsers cookies...
Another suggestion is to exchange banners with other forums in order to make the forum more popular.
