I'll keep an eye out.... I'm currently breeding discus and keen to have a go with Zeb's as the conditions they like seems similar...
How many should I try to get to stand a hope of breeding..... ( Obvious answer is 2 M&F
)..... but what do people find works in reality ?

the male to female ratio thing isn't always true, i keep 12 in the same tank (4 female and 8 male) they spawn quite often.

I suppose what hamish says is true it only takes 1 female and 1 male to spawn but " most people " opt for the top heavy females
