That's a very good price Sven has his L46 and L260 up for. It's a shame he is not shipping them, can't say I blame him really. Any ideas on how you would get through customs if you were to pick fish up from Germany or any other European countries for that matter?

re Adam's post,

Does anyone actually know about getting fish through customs?

I ask cos I'm visiting Germany in a few weeks and I plan on getting some Zebra's while I'm there.

I've been making arrangements with Sven T. to buy his Zebra's and he's also made me aware of an lfs near him that have Zebra's in stock. I'm trying to find out prices at the mo.

If anyone is interested in getting some I'll see what I can do about getting them reserved.

Hi Adam and nesolb (Damian)

After a bit of searching, found this link that might be useful. If it is not, have a look around the DEFRA website.

Hi Des,

Thanks for the info, I'll check it out.

I'm also gonna have a word with my lfs as I know a couple of the guys there very well so I'm hoping they might also be able to advise me.

Hi all,

re the customs question. I have just come off the phone with a customs representative and she advised me that there's no problems bringing Zebra's in to the country.

Depending on your method of transport, mine being flying, you'd have to make sure that they're licensed to carry livestock.

After speaking with my lfs they advised me to get a receipt for the fish with their latin name and L number in case there are any queries.

Hope that's cleared this up.

Regards
Damian
