Anybody like to id a Peckoltia?

We all know how difficult it is to identify the sex of these fish, so please post a picture in here and we'll try to help you (or at least give an educated guess!).

What do you think this L135 is, boy or girl? Is it at all possible to id the gender of a Peckoltia on looks alone?

McEve,

Nice wormline Peckoltia you have there.
It is a boy as only the males have Odontodes on the back half of the body.

Des.

Thanks Des, I thought it was a matter of the females having less than the males, but since that isn't right - then I think I will have to rename my dear Pecky

Gregory Peck perhaps....

Hi DrP,
Saw some at Wholesale tropicals last weekend. I think they were in the region of £20 each. Their no is 02077395356. They courier. Give them a call.Ask for Terry Senior or Terry Junior (Father and Son).
Regards,
Des.
