Hi there, currently have 24 tanks, largest is empty (8ft) ready for my new breeding project.
I have several breeding projects on the go for our local pet shop, which includes, khoula loaches, Discus, Angels, Bristlenose Plecs, Guppies, Mollies etc.
Over the last 6 months, we have had over time and time again several request from our local fish society and pet shop customers for zebra plecs. We have several empty tanks and have breed several different plecs before (golds, magnums and bristlenose) but never zebras.
We have done several researches into zebras and have our tanks setup ready for them, our plecs will not be sold in our local pet shop as the average customer only ever buys £1 or £2 of fish, if our zebras breed, the fry will be offloaded to our local fish society / clubs (on to the more experienced owner).
I currently live in the North of Scotland (AB45 3WR) but I am willing to travel the UK to obtain our zebra's, thats how devoted we are to animals and fish.
For a decent breeding project, we will looking for at least 6/8+ fish, so if theres anyone out there who can help in the UK, please get in touch.
Hi all, its nice to find a new and friendly community

welcome to the site
H?ave a read and a bit of a look through - if the 8ft is the planned tank for the zebras - it might be a nice surprise that they actually seem to do better in smaller tanks
you say you've bread magnums - cool - any details ??

Sounds about right... I'd not want to put more than a pair or a trio in a 2ft tank personally... we've got (or had until we divided them up) 5 in a 140L - adding a 6th kept causing problems - other have 12+ in similar sized tanks though so it really does vary according to the fish
There have been post on here recently about tank spawn & raised zebs breeding after 18 months... only small spawns but still breeding
