You probably meant 2 1/2 years, right?
What size are they?
Greetings,
John

These are not fry She must have meant years.
It is very hard to tell for sure what sex young adults are, but I base my guess on a combination of things. It's easy to be fooled by a fat belly, or not so long odontodes, or a bit too much of it so forth There's always an element of guessing involved
I would have put both of them in the female ranks, if it weren't for the odontodes on nr two that seem to extend a bit too far over the pectoral fin. Even hairy ladies' odontodes stop before the pectoral fin (in most cases )

There is no way they are 2 1/2 months old - if the grew that quick the market would be flooded with adults

Sorry!!!
Sorry!! Yes of course I meant years . That's what comes of writing emails when being hassled by the kids!
At this point I don't mind what they are, I'm just glad they're still here!
I had a major catastrophy with one of their filters yesterday & am still sorting out the wet carpets!
Thankfully I caught it just before there was no water & a big bang!!
I do appreciate all your replies though.
