Male or Female? 2 To Sex

We all know how difficult it is to identify the sex of these fish, so please post a picture in here and we'll try to help you (or at least give an educated guess!).

hi guys,

a few weeks ago i posted a pic of one of my jouvies and most said it looked female :D anyway this is her brother/sister and its a little bit bigger about 2 inches in length.

what do you think?

also while im at it i thought i might as well photograph this one again. its been on before but it was very skinny last time when id just gotton it and its bulked up a bit more now. most said male last time.... its very hairy around the gills and about 3" long.

:shock: i keep staring all day at it andrew, just not shure about its gender.
Is that 2 inches with or without tail?
Second one is definately male.

thanks for your help john,

the little one is 2 inches from the top of its nose to the tip of its tale, perhaps even a little bigger but not much... this one is the biggest one of the 2 baby's i bought last year.

Post some pics when "it" is 2,5 inch, i think people can get a better idea then.

I think they're both males. But the first one is hard to tell :?

very tricky size, but i would prob say both male. Although, as stated, it will be alot easier once they reach the 2.5-3inch mark :)
