get a half dozen ottos, the're schooling fish, they'll put a whoopin on that algae, then you can just drop in algae tabs for them when they eat it all off the plants/glass and such, they won't compete with the zebras for food

@ eklikewhoa - what type of "water column feeding plants" do you have in mind???

elodea, najas, hornwort, any of the truly aquatic plants would work i assume
