Along time ago (~10 years) I had heard the high nitrate/nitrite may cause them to develop a tinge of pink on fins. I have not heard of this since and certainly never saw it when I had to male zebs!

the fighting is not that bad... It almost like their blood bressure increases as they get cross and they go slightly pink.

They return to normal once they stop argueing ;)

I have noticed sometimes they have blue tinges to their fins... any one else seen this? (Piccy below)

the fish tend to get a blue tinge to their fins when they are in prime condition, almost like an irredescent blue.

The pink tinge has also been noted by McEve, (do a search and you should find something), possibley due to diet. Are you using a colour enhancing food?

cheers

ah ha... glad its not just me then :)

they are fed a varied diet - but 60% of the time they are fed on Tetra Prima Discus... which is said to enhance colours...
