Sunshine Pleco (Goldie Pleco)

If it's about fish in general, or it's a little bit random, then this is the place to post it.

I think your question might have been a little too broad here...

Hi Animation and welcome to the forum. :D

If you are after information on this species see the attached link.

A great looking plec, their patterning and colouration can be very vivid as youngsters but tends to be lost a bit as they mature. The yellow spots are more clearly defined and deeper in hue, some individuals display a reddish tinge to the fins but again this tends to disappear with age. A larger plec, up to 1 foot max size and therefore will need to be housed according to it's potential size.

A very nice pleco. But I have to say that they are semi aggresive though. I've seen it chase my zebra pleco out of the cave numerous times. Leaving bit marks. I've also seen it attack young BN pleco at the mouth of it's caves, but I don't know if that young BN was already dead or not, but never the less, it riped it in half. The will grow to around 1', so make sure you have the tank for it.

At the time it was around 5" - 6" living in a 20G cramped up with 50+ BN fries. That might have contribute to the problem.
Its been living in a 110 G now, it's not as aggressive as before. She pretty much take up 1/2 of the tank. All 12 of my other plecos lives on the other half.
