Do females?

If it's about fish in general, or it's a little bit random, then this is the place to post it.

Do females?

Post by Shell231 »

Do females act the same as males once they have moved into a cave?

I ask this because i have a " female " that is acting almost identical to 1 of my males i.e hanging half in half out of the cave or just the tail fully open out of it

or do all zebs do this? Do thy females sometimes attract the males into caves or is always the male attracting the female?

Just a quick thought that has been buggin me. All thoughts i am gratful of

My females won't use caves. They only go in to spawn. Once in a great while I'll catch one in checking things out, but they rarely stay in long without a male trapping them in there.

last night for about an hour i watched all 5 of my zebs out and about with the lights on feeding and just generally going about there business, i thought that was amazing as i haven't bothered to look at them for awhile, they seemed to liven up after i did a big water change could this of been the reason as i forgot to do one for 2.5 weeks

My females stay in sheltered spots, overhangs and what not, but they will not go in a cave with no escape route at the other side unless they're ready to spawn.. Does that clarify it a bit? ;)
