A quick Q

If it's about fish in general, or it's a little bit random, then this is the place to post it.

A quick Q

Post by minigod »

Have been watching my new Zebs today and have noticed that they are doing something odd with their fins and was wondering if you could enlighten me. They are just lying around but waving/waggling all their fins except the dorsal.

This is perfectly natural behaviour :) They clean the surface they're on, an maybe also communicate?, doing this. If you have a fine substrate in the tank you'll notice the sand will literally fly behind them at times when they do this.

i have one that when he/she is doing a poo it comes right out into the sand and shakes up a big sand storm to blow the poo away lol
