Here in the PNW I can only do some tropicals outside in the summer but for the past three I have set up my large child's wading pool and tried different fish in it each season.
The first time I began in mid April anf ran it through September but I had a 300 watt heater in it and it was definitely ...

This pond would be about 1700 gallons, right?
If you don't tryzebras you could try stingrays. I can't imagine trying to find zebras in it once you turned them loose. Actually I've always dreamed of doing one up with Heckel Discus which would work with zebras too.
I only have 5 juveniles in a ten and ...

Again, thank you for your welcoes.
Hey Barbie,
Hi. I am pleased to hear that the zebras I got from you are already of mixed heritage. I'm sure you can understand why I would like to further broaden the genetic diversity of my zebra colony even if the bullnose is an artifact of environmental ...

Hi TwoTank,

Knowing they will somewhat ougrow the huddling under cover is good to hear. I know the adults come out a bit more than than now.
They are juvies of ~1-1/8 so that they hide now came as no surprise. They are defenseless at this size. They are very gregarious. All five stay within about a ...

Thank you for the greetings.
These little guys sure do make themselves scarce.
I placed them in an established ten gallon tank with my Corydoras duplicareous(another shy one) and their is also a self sustaining colony of cherry shrimp. I have to pick up a small piece of bog wood to do a head count.

Hello everyone,

I'm inclined to believe that it is a different fish from from Peru as well. L270 is a good possibility and there are a few other candidates possible as well. Personally, as much as I like L46, I think L134 common leopard frogs give zebras a good run for the money.

Hi Pleco lovers,
I just signed up. Should be getting 4 zebras soon but have been trying to just breed anything else other than old reliable bushynoses. I have L333, L134, L66, L204, L318, L260 and Peckoltia vittata. Also L10a Red Loricaria and Sturisoma species. All the above in colonies of 6 to 12 ...

The MagDrive prefilters do come with only one hole so they may just be what you want. The hydrosponge doublends I modify by rubberbanding one end closed when usinging them as prefilters for canister and other filter intake prefilters.
