I read with interest this bulldog phenomena. There's new strains of Discus that are bred to exhibit this shortening of the spine. This is considered a deformity and disease by some experts[Andrew Soh]. Lordosis or ~scoliosis.

I've been feeding them but I've never really seen them eat. lol. Will look into the recipe section for some tips. I do think they're skinny. My other plecos[L134-not in same tank!] are really fat comparatively. lol

I think the reflections are unavoidable if you have tanks lit positioned facing each other.
As a suggestion, you could pull a black curtain behind you or turn the lights of the opposing tanks off.
If you are using digital it's probably better to get the Nikkor 60 micro because of the 50% increase in focal length will give you 90mm. personally 135mm macro means more care when shooting without flash to avoid camera shake.
