Upsetting

It is indeed a very sad day. His enthuasism was outstanding. He made zoos exciting for a new generation. He will be greatly missed.

Thank you

Okay, I've put the bag down (for now anyway). Aside from cleaning up the old foor everyday, I leave everything else alone. Last Friday when cleaning the tank, I got interrupted (when does school start again?) and set the airstone down at an angle and forgot to go back and fix it. Saturday morning ...

Zebras and help

I would just like to say that someone on this site helped me get my first 3 zebras and I am extremely grateful. I drove 3.5 hours to get these little babies and drove them home. The tank is a slate tank, bottom and back, with nice caves, fava moss, foxtail and some other plant that I can't remember ...

Dosage for medication

Entizol, whose active ingredient is metronidazol, can be used for baths at a concentration of 4 mg per litre for 2–3 days. Metronidazol is absorbed via the gills and produces in the blood a therapeutically effective concentration to kill parasitic Flagellata, e.g. the genus Hexamita. The bath is ...

Just got my first zebras

I just got my first zebras. Three of the little guys. 1 to 1-1/2 inches long. They went from the breeder tank to a 20 gallon long. I'm not so sure that was a good idea. Kind of feel like I should have put a larger breeding/fry tank inside the 20. Any opinions? I really never seen them, but I do move ...

Breeding

When I made the decision to get these little beauties, I had given zero thought into breeding them. They started out as adorable little fish for my tank. After reading alot of posts here and the articles, I changed my mind entirely. Now I'm in the process of making a ZP-only tank and making it ...

Thank you

I just wanted to say thank you to every one who help, by their replies and other posts. I have purcased and set-up a separate tank for the ZP. I've planted it and put in 2 store caves. The store with the ZPs had no idea about the history of them, so I declined them (not wanting to support the ...

Zebras on eBay

Just thought I'd put this out there for those looking for a ZP in the Chicago area. Good luck.

New to Zebras

I'm new to this and my son (4yo) really has to have one. He saw one in the not-so LFS and declared that he had to have one. I currently have 1 rainbow shark, 4 long-fin rosie barbs, 3 polkadot botias and 3 bala sharks: all are still rather small. In a 55g tank (will be upgraded for christmas). There ...

Newbiw from Central CA

Hi all! I found your site by accident by looking up zebra pleco for my son. We saw one that was on hold at the LFS and he "has to have one". So I was looking at them. I'll post questions in another place for all to see.

Thanks for haveing such great info and resources available.
