Well greetings from the land down under and just wanted to let you knwo that i have kept zebra's for a long time now. Lots of spawns ...

Good to hear you actually managed to do multiple spanws. Hopefully smithrc your batched will be fertile for the next lot...fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for your input Ray, because i couldn't find any specific topic on this i decided to post one.
I know you can set up territories etc...but what i want to know who actually has bred more than one batch of zebs at the same time in the same tank.
If you have Ray care to share???

Can zebs in a colony breed more than one batch at a time?
Hi ppls,
I was just wondering if anyone has experienced breeding 2 batches of zebra's in a colony in one tank at any one given time??
I know that the Alpha male would always breed with the 1st successfull female to get into the cave but what happens if you have 2 or 3 other gravid females waiting ...

Hi guys,
I was just wondering if any of you have ever tried hatching these guys from the egg stage? What i meant is once the females lay her eggs and the male fertilisers them, you strip the eggs and try to hatch them. If you have what kind of container/condiment/set up do u use to hatch these guys ...

Well, i have 10 in my colony...
No idea of the sexes at all...they are about 1.5years old. Guess i better get my act together to save zebra's from exticntion too!!!

Well i feed my beloved 46's.....frozen bloodworm's, brineshrimp, mysis shrimp, live blackworm's (treated with myaxin prior to feed), pea mix (own recipe), Sera bits for discus, Colorbits, high protein granules, hikari algae wafers..... :roll:
Also do my own beef heart mix but never tried ...

Have u tried using peat to help soften your water and hence lower pH??
