I can not tell for sure if its because i changed up their diet but it sure looks like it.

Re: pictures of a few of my spawns
Hi sorry i have not been on the site for a while.
My zebs seemed to have lost complete interest in breeding. i have tried using earthworm flakes and pellets but nothing seems to get them going again.

Congratz on all the fry. The L 450 is a nice looking fish are they any easier to breed then the zebras? While i am waiting on my zebs to get going i might have to look at trying some other plecos to breed.

Re: pictures of a few of my spawns
Hi TwoTankAmin
Wow you must be patient guy.HaHa!!! To have a 2.5 year break from breeding would have drove me crazy trying to get them to start up again :frustrated:
Did you ever try to convince them into breeding by doing the water and temp thing? We usually get some good spring storms out here ...

Hi thanks
Good luck with your spawn, a little patience and I am sure your zebs will come through.

Hi
Glad you were able to resolve your problems
Do assassin snails not bother your zebs at all? I have like hundreds and hundreds of trumpet snails in my tank with out issue but are assassin snails not meat eaters?
For me this has been one of the best sites i have ever been on. i have always gotten ...

Hi
I am not a pro like some of the people on here but I can give you advice on what worked for me.
I can't help you on the first question as I have never had a sick fish, but it most likely relates to my other points
My trappings lasted from 1 day to 3.
Can't help you with the female fish.

Hi
Congratz on getting some zebras
With my short time with zebras, the thing i noticed with the babies was that they pretty much just hide under all the furnishing in the tank(rocks, caves, filter) anything where they would be out of sight.
My zebs for the first year rarely used the caves i had ...

Hi Doug
Wow, your success is very impressive!!! Congats!!!
I enjoyed reading yours and Dereck's article very much, and have been able to apply some of what i read in your article to my own setup with some success.
I look forward to hearing more about your zebra program.
Bob

Re: Anybody have an easy way of catching fry without
Hi, thanks for the reply.
That sounds like it might work on my zebras. I have held off doing anything in my tank because i really don't want to interupt the breeding if i did not need to.
Maybe i'll be able to use it to trap trumpet snails while i am at it.

Re: Anybody have an easy way of catching fry without
Hi har_eh
I have one other question on the one pic with the two fry on the side glass.
They kinda look like their fins are more straight then curved. Is that just the way the pic came out or is that a defect? I saved two eggs and when they hatched the looked like those in your pic. If that is ...

Hi har_eh
Wow that is some set up!!!
Thanks for the advice i'll have to give it a try.
I have a lot of rock but i used nothing but black slate in mine, so nothing but a bunch of flat pieces stacked up on top of caves
My only worry about doing any major reorganizing in the tank was the chance of ...

Anybody have an easy way of catching fry without
Hi, anybody have a way of catching fry without doing a major teardown?
I have a male and two females that have been breeding steady and i would hate to disturb them to catch the fry and have the parents stop breeding
I went with a large tank setup to give me a cushion with the water parameters ...
