Re: Zebra fry in trap.

I have raised Zebra fry in breeding traps as well but always with a few casualties. It is my belief that the fry are better off with dad in his cave. On many a casinos I have used a turkey baster to place wiggles back in the cave with the male. I have also done this with L260 & L333 fry. I have neve...

Re: 7th spawn kicked out are eggs ok ???

On many occasions I have placed both eggs & wigglers back into their cave with the male. I do this with a turkey baster. If your breeding caves are level this is a common problem. I usually place a ceramic tile under the front of the cave. By elevating the front gravity will help the male keep eggs ...

Re: L134

I usually try to elevate the front of their breeding cave about 1/4"-1/2". 1 like to use a small ceramic or slate tile. Gravity definitely helps but every once in a while they still manage to kick out an egg that I place in a breeding net.

Re: At what size?

Are there any people raising zebras & keeping them for future breeding ?. Is 3-4 years too long to wait for maturity?

I am unsure of the sex of my 1 L46. From what am learning I sure hope ita a female. I have never kept a si...

Re: Mystery Snails

Last night I saw my mystery snail & he is alive & well. I believe what I thought was the snails body might have been the remains to an algae wafer. Regarding you saying that Zebras will eat smaller snails, do you know if they would eat malasian trumpet snails? I have a fry grow out tank with 3 L144'...
