Well the only thing that I think that made difference was that I separated 1 male and 2 females from the rest of the group. But everything else, almost like I described before.

I just went to aquarium shop in Sweden. I talked with the seller there with zebras and I told I haven't had any luck breeding them. He said that he has a friend who has said many times to him that with zebras you should use calcium stone. Asked about him for the reason but he couldn't really tell ...

6cm might be enough, I think nobody can say for sure. Males need to be a little older than females.

I'm only concerned about those females, that maybe they don't wanna spawn. I've heard that only 1 in 4 females is willing to spawn and I bet I have those 3 that won't. Would you recommend trying to find more females? Is it so that males shouldn't be infertile? Just finding adult females in Finland ...

It's been over 3 weeks from the start of rainy season. Stopped the waterchanges a week ago. There was no spawn from any of the plecos. Was hoping that even l-201's would have made a spawn, but no. Feeling a bit dissapointed. In my mind all the parameters should have been correct. Gonna wait a month ...

I'm not a professional breeder of plecos (yet) :) but next time I get a tank I will go for around 200 litres. Then I probably gonna order a custom tank so I can get a tank maybe 20-25 cm high, around 150cm long and then around 50cm wide. It seems to be a little harder to keep water parameters good ...
