Hiya,

I have the Pro 3 2080 on a large discus tank. The clarity and water quality is excellent but the noise ( drone ) is driving me insane.

Done all the usual checks : trapped air, kinks/obstructions in the pipework,
overloaded media, ill fitting baskets, faulty impeller/shaft, impeller housing ...

I use crypts, anubias, and java fern none of them need much light and are doing well at 29۟°C

Just seen these on ebay (item # 280216251784), they seem a good price, I paid more than this in my local garden center for mine.

I will introduce some green shrimp (Caridina babaulti ), they get to 3cm and can tolerate 29C, I am waiting for them to grow they are currently 1.5 - 2cm, I did have 20 2cm cherry shrimp but the adult zebs mashed the lot.
In the mean time I will use the vac :)

Only just finished this layout, so time will tell, there is a lot of water movement eheim 2117, the juwel filter has a 1000 Ltr per hr pump, and 1 1000 ltr per hr powerhead running continously, 2 800 ltr per hrpowerheads are on a timer which kicks in arouind 9am for 2 hrs this creates a ...

Added terrace to tank

Changed tank a bit, I wanted to add a terrace, but now realise a few more plants are needed (on their way :) ), I removed the cardinals and added 5 zebs (4-4.5cm), I see a lot more of them now. going to give it a couple of weeks then start trying to imitate the rainy season.

It is nice to know that the tank has positive feedback, I plan to alter it a bit when I add more fish. I will create a terrace with caves in the wall of the terrace and more caves on the second level.
I will post pictures when done

Nice looking tank. I am curious as to what the roots at the top are attached. Is it something growing emersed or floating plants?

Hi Everyone
I have had my zebera's for a while now rio 180 lots of water movement all diong well and growing, took a picture recently no flash high iso looks much better a full res :) wasnt sure how large an image I was allowed so reduced it to 86k
