But that's the strange (& very frustrating) thing - those 2 corys are fine, & so are the corys & endlers in the 1st zeb tank.

I still can't explain what happened - I did nothing different to what I always do.

Everything must have been going really well just before whatever it was ...

I really don't know what killed them as the other fish seem fine - typical that it was my zebs it attacked - & it happened really quickly.

The tanks been running over a year & the water perameters are as usual - the only high I've got is phosphate - but that's an ongoing battle with the levels in the tap water & is not significantly different to usual.

I did a water change at the weekend as usual & the zebs seemed fine then last night I noticed one out in the open & its body was red & ragged looking - the other 2 seemed fine. I treated with eSHa 2000 funguf,finrot & bacteria treatment. This morning that one is dead & one of the others looks red ...

It's strange how deceptive photos can be isn't it!
Looking with a magnifying glass at BM it doesn't look hairy at all, but it does in the photos :?

I'll attatch photos of my third zeb 'Titch' he/she is much smaller though the same age as Midge. Any guesses as to the sex of this one?
