One old member of our local club told us that there is an article in the newest "Amazon" magazine (German fish magazine) by Hans-Georg Evers. Personally I haven't read the article, but I really think he knows what he is talking. If somebody here has the magazine I'd love to hear more about the issue.

I noticed an unusual face in my tank:

The other side is white, other is black.

I think it is a male, but I can be wrong. It is fat, but my males look guite similar, when they have been fed well. Please let us know if it turns to be a female.

Nbr 3 is a female.

Number 2 is female, others are males. Nbr 4 is possibly young male, but very small possibility that it is a female.

You can put there a cave, but that is not necessary, if you dont want to make your plecos spawn. You've got hiding places and that is enough. Plants are not good hiding places, but rock-caves and driftwoods are.

If that tank was mine, I would put a cave under the sand"hill" and put a rock over it ...

They are too young to tell, and it is not that "black and white", meaning "if one likes to be in the cave he is a male". Feed them well and wait untill they are 1,75 to 2 inches, then you can start quessing their sex.
