Thanks for the input everyone. :D
They were sold to me as L173. The alpha male has a different pattens. I'll take some pictures when he ventures out of his cave.

My L287 breeding colony is currently posted in aquabid. :D
Some of the L287 females (in aquabid) looked similar to some of the females ...

Hi there,

What kind of L plecos are these??? I have a total
of six and they have spawned twice already. The
first clutch of eggs was sucked off and got kicked
out the caves. The 2nd clutch off eggs were laid
after two weeks. I've tried artificially hatching them
and a few wigglers after 5 days ...

Thanks everyone. I took about 7 shots but only two came out nice. There were four smaller ones and I am thinking and hoping they will be females. I have a total of eight zebras. :oops:

Hi all,

I got some zebras a few weeks ago and I was wondering if anyone can identify which are males and which are females. I will appreciate your help. :-)

I'd been watching my zebra's eating, as I always do, and I'd noticed that one of my cave dwelling males hadn't been out to eat, he's always out eating without fail. My first thought was to be worried and I wasn't able to see him in the cave cos I couldn't find my torch.

I'm princess pleco of Orange County, Southern California. :D
I have six L173s, seven L287s and four L065s.
I am in the process of setting up my 125 gallons for the hard to find L046. :D
