how long does it take?

Post by chanettt »

my zebra is just 2 inches and he is pretty small and thin. i saw so many pictures from other and their zebra look fat and healthy. how long does it take to fatten him up? now i feed him twice a day with sinking wafer in the morning and with frozen bloodworm at night. should i add anything more? by the way i have many corys in the tank and i feed a lot that even corys cannot eat them all. (don't worry about the water condition becasue i change the water 20% every other days)

If you're keeping him in a tank with water parameters cool enough to keep cories happy, you're probably going to find it takes much longer to get him conditioned. I turn the heat up on mine to stimulate their appetite, usually over 84 degrees or so.

You can still be having degradation of water parameters with food decaying in the tank for a couple days between removal. Definitely cut back on that. You're going to do more harm than good with it one of these times.
