Welcome to the Online home of the Zebra Pleco, (L046)

This site is designed to be a resource of information on the husbandry and breeding of the Zebra Pleco, Hypancistrus Zebra. Through controlled programmes it will be possible for this site to ensure the successful captive breeding of the zebra pleco, L046.

Over recent years the Zebra Pleco, L046, has become one of the internets most prolific fish. Unfortunately it is no longer quite so prolific in the wild, and with the increasing industrial pressures placed upon it's natural habitat, it's future is anything but secure.

The purpose of this site is to provide information on the husbandry and breeding of this fish in captivity, and to make people aware of the environmental pressures placed upon it in the wild.

Happy Christmas everyone. Christams can be a difficult time for many, so lets make sure we do what we can to make it enjoyable for not only our immediate family and friends, but also for others around us who may not be as fortunate. Breeding Register Updated

Hi everyone. Just to let you know I have finally got round to updating the Breeding Register. If you have submitted a registry entry over the past few months, please have a look here and see if it has been uploaded. If not drop me a line and I will make sure it is done over the next week or so.

Over the next few months we will be increasing our bank of articles and hoping to share these will all the members and visitors to Zebrapleco.com.

To try and give you all a little bit of an incentive, we are planning on running a competition that that will allow Forum Members to submit an article and win $50 worth of aquatics goods from one of our sponsors, or the Zebra pleco shop.

Watch this space for information and we will annouce the competition soon.
