anyone using slates in their zeb tanks that are safe and will not harm the fish or pollute the water ???? or any type of rocks that can be put in cheers peops

I use natural slate floor tiles for caves and to make hidey holes for them

Slate, marble, quartz, broken bits of terra cotta pots.... That's what I use in mine.

I use slate, marble and ceramic for the caves, and I bought some nice natural slate on AB that I make to all sizes for layers and cliff looks. Good luck.

are all slate safe in aquariums then ?? i read something on some containing iron and stuff that could polute the water ?? help needed fast before i add any cheers

Go with the gray slate, the red slate is red from iron..... I think....

yes i heard that if any slate has red viens in them or any red colour they will contain iron which will arm the fish ??

Well if your tank is planted I know that plants use iron....
Best just stick with gray slate for now. I cant give a 100% on the red slate but I know gray slate is prefect safe!
