anyone know where i can find some thin aquarium safe slate prob size of house slates as i want to break them up and make layers inbetween my caves for my zebs thanks all

they are old roof slatesthey wont be safe would they in a tank ??? they be full of dirt and stuff like algicides ??? cheers steve

Don't know if you have this sort of place over there, we have em in the states. Look for a sand and gravel yard that sells flagstone. When they handle, load and unload the stuff lots of shards come off. They are many thin ones of all sizes and shapes. I go to my local place with a bucket and collect them and they charge me a few dollars. I also get those lovely red flat rounder river rocks there too.
