Adding Adult with 1.5 Yr Old Zebras

Post by 24/7 »

I thought I'd double check with a few of you that have been through this before. I currently have 4 1 1/2 year old zebras in a 20Gal long they all have there regular hiding spots, I'm now obtaining a 10yr old zebra that is being past on to me, can any of you see any problems with this?

Just concerned with the variation of size, and behavior, given its own spot that it will establish is this something they will sort out being there is plenty of room and individual spots to hide ?

Thanks

Only bad thing that can happen is the bigger one traps a smaller one in a cave, just keep an close eye on them the first few days.

Mine aren't necessarily safe after a few days. Different males have killed young subdominant males and even females over the years. Keep a close eye on them and add additional hiding places, IME.
