Adult male fanning... but there is nothing in the cave!!!

Hey guys,
I have a adult male that is fanning at 100 miles per hr I don't know why? there is nothing in the cave to indicate spawing.....
has anyone see this kind of behaviour before?
any thoughs will be appreciated.

WoW John I'm so excited never thought there will be much action in that tank.
I could not believe it... he was in one cave last night and when I did my regular trip after work to my fish tanks He wasn't there any more so I thought oh well
Last night at feeding time he was in another cave going crazy again fanning at 100 miles per hr.
What other behaviour I should expect from him?
Does that mean he is my alpha male?

NO this time... I already have my colony stablished. Now Im looking for my next challenge.... maybe some L173 will be nice.
Im doing my research already but its not a easy one....
