is this ok for them?
also i belive the dad still is holding eggs as he is still fafing about in his cave must be fanning them,any1 any idea why or how the eggs were kicked out?the other zebs must no of the spawn as there so active around the dads cave tonight

Great news on having eggs, In my experiance my male has only kicked out eggs when he has known they were infertile or something wrong with them, apart from one fry which was kicked or escaped when only a few days old but went to an empty cave & survived!!
Hopefully yours will be fine.
Good luck

Well done pleased for you I agree with Stevie.K any my alpha has evicted have had somthing wrong, although saying that if they have only recently started to spawn then it maybe a little inexperiance on dads part, you have done the right thing collecting them up your alpha will take care of the rest still in his cave.
Congratulations !!!

Experienced dads rarely accidentally evict viable eggs, they only boot bad ones. New dads on the other hand can and do accidentally fan/knock good ones out. these can be successfully rescued, hatched and raised.
In any case, you should know pretty fast which you have.
ps- congrats on the spawn

well the alpha male raised 9 out his last spawn on his own which 6 have survived over time.
so i think he should manage to raise the rest of the fry in his cave ok providing he dosent kick them out.im well happy it was a surprise to me to find a spawn as i have had no luck in 6months and ive not done any thing diffrent to to the tank hrmmmmm anyway thanks for all the nice comments

last night i collected the fry attatched to the egg sack that dad kicked out and put them in my floating breeder inside my fry grow out tank and came from home 2night and now 1 has dissapeared any1 got any ideas?
also could i just use the grow out tank and not bother with a floating breeder?
and
found another in the main tank and its not so easy to collect this 1 up is it ok to just leave him in there?also do they have a decent survival rate if dad kicks them out what should i do or not do thanks

If you can rescue them, do so. They are likely to be food if you don't.
A turkey baster can make the resuce a lot easier.

what about keeping them in a fry trap float or let the loose in the grow out tank zeb age 7month max in there

I would keep them in the fry trap for as long as possible. Once the yolk sacks are used up (10 days) they will have to find food for themselves, in a grow out tnak this maybe too hard, I keep my fry in the trap until about 6 weeks them release them into a 1ft grow out tank for about another 8 weeks, then after that, I place them back in with the adults into the 3ft tank.

Congrats mate
Keep them in the frytrap for several weeks untill you shure they feeding well and have gained some size, then release them into your growout.
I would shure go through some trouble to catch the other one.
